Cfast Fixed has exciting benefits for you and your patients.
Cfast labial is an innovative cosmetic orthodontic procedure that straightens the front teeth, producing aesthetic results in as few as 8 weeks at an affordable price for you.
It is not a replacement for conventional orthodontic treatment, but is aimed at the “social 6,” involving simple corrections that can be carried out easily by your accredited Cfast dentist.
By using aesthetically pleasing clear brackets and tooth-colored nickel-titanium wires placed on the front surface of the teeth, Cfast is readily accepted and proving hugely popular across the world.
Unlike many clear aligner systems, the movement is more predictable and is typically completed faster with the average treatment time being just 5 months.
Cfast are very discreet and hard to notice unless people get really close, Cfast will not affect your speech or eating, we have placed them on some very famous people without the press ever knowing.
Brackets are very smooth and not easy to discolour. It is more likely that any discolouration will come from excess “glue” which can be polished on your review appointments. Though, a good oral hygiene and being careful with some food and drinks can prevent discolouration of the appliances. Wires are coated with a teflon, which doesn't discolour. If the wire is brushed too heavily, the teflon may come off and you will be left with a very thin and still quite aesthetic wire.
Sticky, crunchy and chewy food is to be avoided during treatment with fixed braces, as it may cause the brackets to come off. Although we want the braces to stay in place for the duration of the treatment, we also want them to be easy to remove at the end, so the “glue” needs to be weaker than the tooth. We recommend that patients are careful with what they eat and that food is cur into small pieces before eating.
Difficult to know as each case is different and some cases have more crooked teeth than others. Also, some cases need more review appointments than others. Your dentist can advise you before treatment starts of an estimate of number of appointments and their duration, although this may vary depending on the case.
Sometimes the braces and wire may make the cheeks and lips sore as they rub. Your dentist will provide you some comfort wax so you can make the treatment more comfortable.
